MEDITERRANEAN STUDIES — The Terrace explores the quiet relationship between architecture, landscape, and horizon.
Beneath cascading wisteria, a weathered stone terrace overlooks the Mediterranean coastline. The sea stretches beyond the balustrade while light moves across worn stone, aged timber, and sunlit architecture.
The scene is entirely still.
Empty chairs remain in conversation. A single glass catches the afternoon light. The architecture frames the view without competing with it. The landscape remains expansive, allowing distance and atmosphere to carry the emotional weight of the work.
Built through light, atmosphere, and spatial depth, the composition draws from contemporary Mediterranean figurative and landscape painting traditions where place becomes presence.
What remains is stillness.
The feeling of stepping away from urgency.
