FIGURE STUDY III — Control captures the figure mid-turn, neither arriving nor leaving. The composition holds her within the pause between decision and movement, refusing resolution.
Her back turns partially toward you. Her face remains in three-quarter profile. There is no invitation in the composition — only the quiet authority of someone who does not need to face the room to command it.
Light settles across the shoulder, the jaw, the exposed line of her back. Shadow absorbs the rest. Texture remains visible throughout — deliberate, imperfect, materially present.
