Her body is angled away, back partly exposed, but her face has come around — not quite toward the viewer, not quite away. She exists in the space between departure and arrival, and the painting holds that threshold without forcing a resolution.
This is the most psychologically complex piece in the series. Standing offers composure. Resting offers release. Turning offers something harder to name — the quiet interior moment of a woman in the middle of deciding.
The palette stays true to the series: warm stone, pale linen, soft skin. Light falls across her shoulder and jaw, directional but unhurried. The background holds its distance. Nothing competes with the turn itself.
