Stillness, Held II — Resting is the second work in the Stillness, Held series — a study of physical presence through grounded support and composure.
The figure is seated, viewed from behind. The posture is contained and stable, with weight fully held by the body. There is no gesture, no tension, no sense of transition. The position is sustained rather than performed.
Form is defined through proportion, surface texture, and restrained tonal variation. Light remains soft and directional, shaping the figure without emphasis or display. The surrounding space stays minimal and uninterrupted.
