The work
MEDITERRANEAN STUDIES — The Loggia explores the beauty of architectural passage, where sea light, stone columns, shadow, and movement come together in a quiet Mediterranean moment.
Set along an open loggia overlooking the water, the work captures the feeling of walking through a place shaped by time. Repeating arches draw the eye forward, while sunlight falls across the stone floor, terracotta pots, and weathered walls. The sea appears through the openings, bright and distant, giving the scene both depth and release.
The figure moves through the space without urgency. She is part of the architecture rather than separate from it — framed by columns, softened by light, and held within the rhythm of shadow and sun.
Built through warm tonal depth, painterly texture, and strong directional light, the work draws from contemporary Mediterranean figurative painting traditions where architecture carries memory, atmosphere, and emotional weight.
What remains is movement.
The feeling of walking through somewhere old and beautiful, with the sea beside you.
A place where light leads the way.
This is not art that decorates. It occupies.
Framed format.
