MEDITERRANEAN STUDIES — Afterglow explores the final moments of daylight as sea, sky, and architecture merge into atmosphere.
Standing at the edge of a weathered Mediterranean terrace, the figure becomes a quiet witness to the changing light. The sea reflects the last warmth of the day while the horizon softens into distance.
Stone balustrades, fading sunlight, and expansive water create a sense of calm contemplation. The landscape feels suspended between day and night, presence and memory.
Built through atmosphere, colour, and light, the work draws from contemporary Mediterranean figurative painting traditions where landscape carries as much emotional weight as the figure itself.
What remains is stillness.
The feeling of watching the day disappear without needing to hold onto it.
