FIGURE STUDY VI — Unbound is the shift in the series nobody saw coming.
The earlier works hold tension through distance and defence. This one lets something go. The figure is still upright, still composed — but the shoulders have opened, the gaze has lifted, the structure has softened without collapsing. She is not undone. She is unburdening.
The palette moves into burnt copper, warm terracotta, and deep carbon — richer and more alive than the works before it. Light falls gently across the face and shoulder. Nothing is forced. Nothing is guarded.
This is what it looks like when a woman stops performing her own strength and simply has it.
