WALL STUDIES — Boundary, Canvas
A study in division, tension, and restraint.
Dark structural forms interrupt a weathered mineral ground while a single rust-red line crosses the composition, refusing the boundaries imposed around it.
Gallery-wrapped canvas art, ready to hang.

The work
WALL STUDIES — Boundary explores the tension between structure and the instinct to move beyond it.
The composition is built against a restrained field of chalk, limestone, warm sand, and softened grey. Dark vertical passages rise through the surface like architectural divisions, creating weight and order without resolving into a literal structure.
Across them, a rust-red line enters from the left and moves through the work in a long curved gesture. It does not follow the geometry around it. It crosses, bends, and continues, introducing movement into an otherwise controlled field.
Smaller fragments of muted blue appear beneath the heavier marks, almost buried within the surface. Their presence is quiet but deliberate, adding another layer of interruption without competing with the central relationship between the dark structure and the red line.
The strength of Boundary comes from opposition. Vertical against curve. Weight against movement. Restriction against continuation. Nothing is overstated, yet every mark has consequence.
Presented on canvas, the work gains additional physical presence. The woven surface strengthens the distressed mineral ground, dark vertical passages, exposed marks, and rust-red gesture, allowing the composition to feel increasingly architectural at larger scale.
What remains is the line that refuses to stop.
Structure holds.
Something still crosses it.
This is not art that decorates. It occupies.
