FIGURE STUDY VII — Unravelling is the most raw piece in the series.

The figure holds. Her posture is upright, her gaze lifted — but the painting itself is coming undone around her. Hair crosses her face in loose strands. Dark brushwork sweeps through the lower composition, restless and uncontained. The surface carries movement the earlier works refused.

This is not the stillness of control. It is the moment control starts to cost too much.

The palette is quieter than it first appears — warm plaster, faded blush, muted sand — which makes the dark gestural marks hit harder. The contrast is deliberate. The tension is real.

She remains. Everything else is shifting.
